A little late to the party but we all have to start somewhere. This is my first FORD Mustang well my first FORD period. All my cars have been bow ties or GM based but I must say I absolutely love this car, this platform & this company.
I just had purchased a 15 Cadillac ATS in early January 15 as a daily driver, it was a nice comfortable car but I must say it just wasn't my cup of tea & was already having buyers remorse after 3 months. I have a 2011 twin turbo Camaro has a weekend toy & was daily driving a 2014 C7 Stingray but it literally was a pain in the ass to drive everyday. But I was missing the performance aspects of a car especially in the ATS, I must admit I have a lead foot & pretty spirited driver even on the daily grind. So I was looking to take the hit on the Cadillac to move to a new 6th gen Camaro. Well I was all set to make the purchase had a pretty reasonable deal for a red SS but when I got there to sign the papers I must admit that I wasn't a fan & I backed out of the purchase. I was on my way home & seen what I thought was another new red Camaro meeting me head on, I was thinking damn I just made a mistake because this thing was looking better & better the closer it got to me. Well you guessed it, this was not a Camaro but a brand new red Mustang GT & I fell in love. That night I began my research & started with the Ford site building what I wanted. Then I hit the forums & found this place & all of you guys, which has been the most helpful place & I would like to think everyone for all the insight, information & projects to put me on a fun new build.

Ok on to the good stuff, I purchased the car out of town for a better deal & a better trade for the ATS even better than the Chevy deal. I did go to the local Ford dealership to test drive what I would be purchasing & I loved it, totally different feeling from the old push rod motor which has crazy tq down low but feel sluggish up top. This car was the complete opposite just kept pulling & pulling up top & was just very fun stock especially for the money. I went ahead & purchased some nice wheels while I was waiting for the car to come in I opted for some Niche Misano M117 20x10.5+30 & had them painted Gloss Black. I also ordered black lug nuts but they were on back order. I also went with Mickey Thompson Street Comp 275/35/20 tires. The car came in & it was off to the wheel shop & put some tint on the car.

Lots of good info on this site, lots of goofy nonsense, too. This was my first Ford car in a LONG time (I loved my two Pontiac Firebirds), but so far, I love this thing!!!

Welcome to the Ford family! The Mustang is an awesome car and like all cars, it has its quirks. But man, it is fun!

June: Ok like most of you that had the pleasure to push the button to wake this beast up everyday knew that it just didn't sound right. The factory sound was just begging to be let lose & be herd. So off to you guys again, started researching exhaust on the forum & found what I was looking for. SP 1-7/8 Headers w/off road mids & MBRP Race 3inch Cat-Back w/H-Pipe.

Edited:
The header on the passenger side after about 4 thousands miles of hard driving began to make contact with the floor frame & would cause a loud vibration under hard acceleration.

Nice build man! Coming along very nicely. How well does it hook on the Street Comps?

Thanks man! I haven't finished the build with the blower install yet. I'm waiting on the fuel system to show up to start data logs for Ken.
But the Street Comps will be no good for traction. They would break lose with headers & no tune in 2nd gear on a cool night or morning.

Also on day 3 we installed the new exhaust. I went with Solo Race w/black tips. This exhaust had a better fit & finish than the MBRP but have yet to hear it with the headers to compare the sound. I liked the MBRP but wasn't in love, I wanted a little louder. We also begin installing the injectors, supercharger bracket & the pulley drive since we had everything. I also started spray painting the Paxton pipes that were not black so they would match the head unit & intercooler.

Day 4: Started installation of supercharger. This is just not a bolt on set up. There are a few things you have to do to modify for everything to fit correctly. Like cut your fan shroud, cut your engine cover, bend a few metal tabs on the bumber support, cut the support where the Paxton coolent tank goes & also cut the foam on your hood liner or just completely remove it. I chose to remove mine & was actually surprised with a Pony under it. Also with a 20% over drive you have to purchase a MMR water pump pulley & grind the crap out of your factory pulley tensioner for it to fit. None of this is crazy or hard to do but I wouldn't say it's simple bolt on kit. Also the wastegate showed up, got the springs changed to 12 lbs & the pipe painted ready for install.

We took 2 weeks off from working on the car since the holidays were coming up. I had 3 weeks off from work the first week was spent on the car the next 2 were for friends & family during the holidays. January 3rd I started back to work so this is where we are now & left off of the build this Friday before the snow started in SC. I was able to pick up all the painted parts & finish the supercharger install Friday. We are now waiting on the fuel system from Sai Li to finish up. I will be going out of town for work during the week days so probably won't start back until next weekend. Here's a few pictures of how the car sits now, will update ASAP. Enjoy!
