Finally have all of the pieces to get this done. Took a while to get the hot pipe but it is here :)

For those with a Stage 2 P1/D1 and the Red Race value this is what you need:

- Hot side pipe from Boostworks relocating the race valve to the front
- 4.38 pulley and belt (thanks Tommy V)
- MVS 38mm Tial Wastegate
- Welder and a tune update

After initial pipe fitment it looks as though the MVS will go in the old spot of the race valve. It can fit up front with some trimming but I do not want all that bulk at the front of the pipe; seems like a lot of weight on that one coupler. The MVS is super small compared to the BOV so pressing against the stock rubber PC tube will not be an issue.

I stopped tuning with Lund a few weeks back as we agreed to continue once the wastegate setup was in place. I was seeing 15psi on the 4.75 pulley at 7300 rpm and that was more than I wanted. The new setup will be limited to 12psi but it should come on much faster than before ;)

I will post installed pics in the next week or so and will update with a dyno and vids after that.

Hope this helps someone who is wondering what to pick up for a torque booster kit for the PC.

UPDATE 11-8-16*** Rather than dig through to see what what other options you can do for the wastegate I thought I would put it in the first post.

I did NOT use the pipe I purchased from Boostworks. I ended up using the stock pipe that came with the PC kit. The reason was simple, finding an aluminum weld flange for the Tial wastgate was impossible. I am sure someone with a lathe could have fabricated one but no one local to me.

Boostworks did offer to work something up for me if I sent them the WG and the pipe. Unfortunately I felt I already spent too much and waited to long to get this up and running. I ended up taking a small loss and selling the pipe

The stock pipe works great. I placed the pipe back in the car and marked the location of where i wanted the WG. I took it to a local shop and they used a small piece of coping and welded the flange on. It was ready to go the next day! I then sanded down the pipe and re painted with VHT high temp flat black paint.

Once I got it home I found that the best place to source boost pressure was from the pipe directly. I tapped the pipe with a 1/4 nipple and then had a friend weld it on.

Thanks to Beefcake are in order as I essentially copied his Paxton torque boost kit.

Total Cost
- TIal MVS $251
- Welding $75
- Pulley $100

**Note on the bottom pic I have the vacuum line on the top port...that is not correct, look to page 3 for details on the MVS vacuum guide. I had it there just for S's and G's...

Centri efficiency, with PD torque. Best of both worlds!

Next you just need an adjustable boost controller to be able to tame down street tune, and crank up race gas tune!

I have a Greddy PRofec boost controller in my tool box from my Evo. If Lund can tune for it I would love to be able to add a psi here and there like my turbo cars.

No different, just a separate tune for low boost, and a high boost/fuel tune. No reason lund couldn't.

Wow do u know how u were getting 15 psi with the 4.75 pulley,i am using that one and only reaching 10 to 10.5psi at 7200rpm.I know elevation plays a part but i cant see it making that much of a difference.I was going to use the 4.38 pulley but like u i didnt want to be at 15psi on a D1 and no wastegate.

No clue unless the Lund boost+ is wrong. But Lund is pretty sure it is all correct based on the logs etc...once the waste gate is on and set at 11.6 we will see if the gauge is wrong. I'll post a log to show what the boost climb looks like.

While I know the dash gauge is wrong typically by a few psi even that shows 13+ above 7k. I even have catless headers so I would have thought that would have kept the boost down.

Different elevation guys. You guys will see different boost levels with different pulleys because of how the air is where you live.

Im 500 above sea level with catless headers. 4.75 pulley. Maybe there is an issue with the boost plus? Here are a few logs..

No peak gains but torque should be in the mid 500's. Boost is built faster so rather than wait till 6500+ rpm to be at peak boost ill have it much lower. With belt driven systems boost climbs with RPM. So ill have boost earlier, more torque down low and the ability to control boost if i want to turn it up a little on demand without the need to re-pulley just like turbo cars.

Plus unlike PD's I don't have to worry about IAT's so I will have all the low end they do with out the issues.

Help clear up the why a little?
