Here is a good primer from Car Throttle for anyone not familiar with the major differences (power, features, options) between the US and European specification 2015+ Mustangs.

They are missing a lot of stuff. Here are a few examples
  • Turn Signal and parking light in the lower light on the front are swapped, so EU has the turn Signal on the outer part and just a Little parking light spot on the inner side
  • EU got yellow turn signal light in the outer bar on the rear, so no sequential turn signal
  • EU models always come with the performance package, even on all AT models.
  • EU models get different rear decklids with the fake gas cap around the normal GT / Pony log
  • Some Features are not offered on the EU model like remote Start, BLIS, Memory seats or ACC
  • EU headlights are weaker (2000 lumen instead of 3200) because above 2000 they would have to implement an automatic height adjustment and a headlight cleaning System in EU
  • EU Hood has an active pedestrian safety function, so in case of an accident the Hood will be lifted to prevent damage to a hit pedestrian. That's also why EU GT models don't have the strut Tower brace

European cars;
  • Dont have Sync 3. New cars are still sold with Sync 2.
  • Dont have a 20" wheel option, all come with 19".
  • Dont have a supercharger option, and retrofitting one legally is practically impossible.

Other different points :

  • EU models always come with the performance package, but don't have the center gauges on the Dash
  • Auto door locking is not available on the EU market
  • With the 'Premium' package you'll get nickel wheels and chrome surrounding
  • Fog lights are Halogen on the EU/UK/AU model, US model has LED fogs
  • Reverse light is different, EU has 2 x reverse + 1 fog light, US has only 1 x reverse
  • Front lower grill is different to the US, always come with the ACC lower grill but without this option
  • No memory seats option on the EU model
  • No spoiler available on the EU model
  • No Universal Garage Door Opener on the EU model
  • No Black Accent Package on the EU model

That makes absolutely no sense at all. Who ever decided that is a complete moron.

Someone should corner one of the Ford execs to once and for all justify that decision publicly as I'm really curious to find out what the excuse is. SURELY, someone on here knows someone.

Indeed, absolutely no sense ! :paddle:

Oh and I forgot, we get less options but a higher price on the car ! Also, for the 2017+, for the EU market, no Grabber Blue ! UK + AU can order this color but a lot of countries in the EU can't

1. Wrong. New EU cars are now sync3
2. Correct.
3. Depends on the country. In the UK and where I am (NL) there is zero issue in fitting a SC.

What I don't understand is how moving the steering to the right side gets in the way of the exhaust manifold. The left hand steering doesn't get in the way of the exhaust manifold and headers of the US spec cars. I would think you're just reversing everything on the UK spec cars.

Not quite - they don't come with Torsen differential - regardless of whether they're manual or stick. So it is not a full PP as in US.

- EU does not get line lock (it is disabled; the V8s can have this unlocked in the As-Built data)
- EU do not have hood vents due to a perceived risk to pedestrians
- EU models to not get a subwoofer

- EU does get a spoiler option, at least in AU

The motors in the cars are slightly to the right.

- With the premium package, I have the 12 speakers + subwoofer in my car
