It has begun!

The pain! Stabbed myself with a small screwdriver trying to clean the Silicon.

Outter ring is going to be painted red and the rest black.

Good shit right here. Liquid type silicon that seals all the little gaps and openings and is a rated to 400F.

I have no idea wtf ford uses for the Silicon but it is very hard take apart. I am also painting the day time running light red. I thought about the dioed changing color led but had bad luck in the past with leds burning out.

Are you leaving the amber reflectors in? Cool to see more people trying this, back in the Subie world this is a normal mod that people do left and right!

Actually I think they would be better with a little rosemary, basil and garlic...

So the DRLs will be non functional? That paint isn't going to let light shine through because they aren't very bright.

They are very functional. Even with the red paint. They are not as bright as the oem color but I never liked the oem anyways. When you black out the inside of the headlights the drl are too bright and doesn't flow well with the black.

You be surprise how powerful and bright the oem LEDs are.

You may have trouble with the law. Any blue or red forward facing lights is just asking for trouble

The drl cover is made out of plastic. The leds are behind it and they are stupid bright.

I have everything sealed and waiting for it to dry.
