Posted on Rennlist but worth a shoutout because this stunning R is uniquely tastefully done... and with the roll bar & harness, this better see the track!

Here is a customers car we recently completed here at GMG. We added a a whole bunch of carbon goodies including several trim pieces, installing a custom coated watson 4 point roll bar and even painting the inner barrel of the OEM wheels to match the outer!

When I saw GMG, I was thinking about a different company. I agree the red rear views are not my taste either.

I thought the wheels had a specific coating to reflect heat and prevent damage to the carbon fiber. Won't painting over that defeat the purpose? I guess if you stay off the track you don't have to worry about brake heat.

Red mirrors not too bad since it accentuates it even more but another option is to carbon fiber finish it like the rest of the aero pieces.

Who did all of the exposed carbon pieces? I know some of the guys over there at GMG, might have to give them a ring.

What a beautifully done vehicle. I think it just the right amount of modifications.

I like the red mirror caps. Not sure I'd do it to mine...but it makes me think.
the carbon bits are fine but I would go out of my way to do that.

someone asked about the coating on the wheels: the R has a thermal coating on a portion of the fronts only (not on the rears)...but it doesn't look like the painted over that...it's still (barely) visible in the pics. it's only a small strip lined up with the rotor.

looks like a cooltech bar (or, perhaps, Watson)...and they're using the 4-pt Schroth ASM belts like I'm using. Interesting that they screwed up the install on those ASM's...the 'break-away' side (with the yellow tab on it) is supposed to go to the inboard side...so the driver's side goes on the right and the passenger side is supposed to go on the left.

aside from the red mirrors, that car is perfect!

Not a fan of the red mirrors, and I thought GMG was gas monkey garage, lol.

Aside from carbon body work it looks pretty much stock. Looks like it was lowered and the calipers were painted.

I really want to see a tiger racing hood on an R model, should save some weight and get more heat out of the engine bay. I love me some DIB.
