WHAT ARE VAREX™ MUFFLERS?

VAREX™ mufflers combine both the design technology of the stock muffler and the performance muffler into one single compact unit. A sophisticated butterfly valve mechanism is implemented to redirect the exhaust gas flow and vary be-tween the two. For higher sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the opening path and produces maximum power with a robust sound level (or the “sports car note”) and near-zero resistance.

Street Mode: Setting your Varex™ muffler in ‘Street mode’ enables lower sound levels and maximum discretion, as exhaust gases are directed through a chambered path as would a ‘stock’ muffler

Race Mode: For greater power output and sound level, exhaust gases are directed through the opening path and produce maximum power with a robust sound level (or the ‘sports car’ note) and near-zero resistance

In between: As the angle of the valve is infinitely adjustable, it can be adjusted to stop at any point between sports mode and silence mode. This gives you further freedom to set the optimal sound level according to your desired preference.

Interesting system. Can't wait to hear sound clips of the full exhaust. I have two questions:

1. What stainless steel is the entire exhaust system made of? 409 or 304?
2. (Not related to the exhaust) what wheels are on the Mustang in the first picture?

I love the header portion of that system.

So is it only fully opened or fully closed with the remote? Anything in the middle?

I would hope so, but in all the video's I've seen it's either been all the way open or all the way closed.

Nice concept but I think it just adds complexity to something that should be simple. I mean a separate remote for the mufflers? It's nice and shiny though. Also I don't like the amount of welds on the headers. And that one tight bend. Your more established companies have a one piece design and smoother bends. ALso looking from the back the tips look small and you can see the mufflers.

What's the difference between the FM15-CBS and the FM15VMK-CBS other than the tips?

Yes you can have the butterfly valve adjusted to whatever angle required. All depends on how quick you are on the button.

I love the header portion of that system.
Headers and cat pipes come together, then the cat-back comes as a kit or all together alternatively.
