No Cal & So Cal Member Summer Meet & Cruise **Sunday 7/31**

Hello to all our No Cal & So Cal Members. Thanks to a lot of help from quite a few members and Liz we have our official Meet & Cruise Flyer

A few of us have been talking about putting together a meet and cruise for all the No Cal & So Cal members and here is the latest update :cheers:

Meet & Cruise Date: Sunday 7/31
Meet Location: Edgewater Shopping Center
2040 California Ave
Sand City, CA 93955

Meet Time: 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

Cruise: Depart 10:30 AM

Cruise down through 17 Mile Drive in Pepple Beach then cruising down Hwy 1 through Big Sur and a final cruise destination of the Veterans Memorial Building 1000 Main St Cambria CA 93428 where we have secured the parking lot exclusively for our group.

Lunch & Photos: Depending on Number of cars we may just be grabbing a quick snack before we depart on the cruise and then have lunch in Cambria. Of course we will be taking multiple photos throughout our cruise and photo stops along the cruise route.

The main meet & cruise is on Sunday 7/31 however many of us are making a long weekend out of the event and thus we have added a few other small events for those that would like to participate:

Friday 7/29:
Meet & Greet Dinner 6:00PM
Main Street Grill

Saturday 7/30:
Family Day
Hearst Castle Tour - 1:10 pm Upstairs Tour x 14 people & 1:20 pm Upstairs Tour x 5 people
Local Cruise & Dinner: Working on a route through local mountains with possible dinner in Cayucos (see post #316 on pg 22)

Sunday 7/31:
Main Meet 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM

If you are planning on going up for the cruise I would highly recommend booking your hotel as soon as possible as they are filling up quickly.

I booked a room at the Blue Dolphin Inn in Cambria (http://cambriainns.com/blue-dolphin-inn-cambria-ca/#!), but there are many nice hotels and they are all close to each other.

We did a couple of these with the genesis coupe group. We met in pismo beach once, that was solid. I'd be game.

I'm down for this. Meeting at Pismo would be awesome!

Back in the day....the original 01 Bullitt/03 Mach 1 folks did something very similar for a mid-state meet up in Cambria for the weekend and did a tour of Hearst Castle.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Ill add Pismo beach to the list of possibles. Pismo is not quite in the middle of No Cal & So Cal which is why I had originally listed Morrow Bay. Want to pick a site that is about as close to the same for No Cal & So Cal.

So far we have Pismo Beach, Morrow Bay & Cambria on the list of possibles.

Thanks for the suggestion. Cambria is actually pretty close to mid point. 235 miles from LA & 231 miles from SF :cheers: Added Cambria to the list of potentials.

Keep in mind the spot we pick will also have to have some awesome routes that we will be able to plan some cruises on.

I vote Cambria. Decent priced hotels near the beach. Hearst Castle and it is almost exactly halfway as Dennis pointed out.

Fresno is in the middle there aint nothing special to look at here tho, i just looked up Cambria, count me in.... Monterey is also really nice.

We could always start in Cambria, then shoot up Highway 1 through Ragged point and big sur, end up in Monterey. It's a beautiful drive.
