Shadow Black GT350, with a touch of Red

The Window Sticker on my GT350 shows only 1 option: 1300.00 GAS GUZZLER TAX. I'm not really a 'Stripes" guy anyway so I was glad about that. Although if I would have had the opportunity to order it myself, I would have included the Tech Package. Anyway, I do like to add my own cosmetic touches here and there. In this post I will show you my 'step by step', 'before and after' progress in my: "Touch of Red project. Hopefully it will give others ideas or inspiration to do a few things to their GT350.

did you really paint the badges or is it a photoshop?

That's the only part of my car I wish was red. I mean my Raptor has it, and I've gotten really used to having it there. I don't know why they only did that for the R.

The red is definitely a sharp accent with the black on black.

Did you paint the coil covers yourself, lettering with a brush - or order them?
I'm looking to do that in Comp Orange for mine with black letters, but I'm not sure about the edges of the letters. I'll have to give it a try, I'm pretty good with detail painting.

If they wanted to keep red just for the R; Ford could have used Grey or White on the base 350 steering wheel.

It's Red Lettering Vinyl, 3/8" wide.
The GT350 steering wheel already has the centering leather strip made into it. (Mine was dark leather). The red vinyl sticks to that part really well.

So the brembo logos are white vinyl?

The Coil Covers were painted with the leftover G2 caliper paint. (I figured it would hold up in the heat of the engine better, and have the hard epoxy shell).
The lettering is computer-cut vinyl, as I have the "Powered By Ford" w/stripes File stored on my computer, and can cut it in any color of Vinyl.

how dod you get paint to stick to those cobra emblems?

So you didnt use any adhesive?

I have to look at my wheel, I swear my center stripe is dark gray. I might be smoking something though.
