S550's @ Essen Motor Show (Germany)

The Essen Motor Show is Europe's largest annual tuning show. Although the majority of products is aimed at European brands I spotted no less than 9 S550's over there today.

First two were stock GT's at a Ford Germany sponsored dealer stand:









They actually had a very interesting premier for convertible owners,, Ford will soon introduce an OEM wind deflector with a pretty cool pony logo on it:





This Guard GT sat at the Koni stand, sporting H&R springs and 21" wheels. There was no info on the actual shocks.



A blue EcoBoost at the Wagner Tuning stand. They make juiced up intercoolers.













One of the Velocity Tuning demo cars at the Fondmetal Wheels stand. Featuring a nice set 11x20's in the rear and a set of 9x20's in the front with way too high ET.





A Magnetic 5.0 convertible at Diewe Wheels. Better forget straight away:





A black GT at NAP Exhaust Systems. This car featured some orange yeehaw striping, 21" wheels and no lowering.







Black GT at MR Performance:



And finally another black GT at ST Suspensions. This is a budget brand of KW with endorsement by Ken Block. This car also featured a set of those hideous Lambo style door hinges:

The wheels are perhaps an inch too big, but I like this

I visited Essen back on 2013 and I know about the size.....
Sorry but I see nothing special related to Mustang similar to what we are seeing at this forum.

Where are the exhausts, where are the superchargers etc

Still new model for Europe.

Mustang is US heaven. Period.

lambo doors over here are old and out ;) thats typical german tuning, looks bad

Im looking hard here for something to like out of Essen, but the stock GT faux rear filler cap is something not available here (that I know of) and can be seen if u look closely on both of the cars in the Ford stand...

Definitely the best car by far of the show.

Very interesting to see the difference in aftermarket parts in Europe compared to US.

Unfortunately I agree with friendgr that there isn't really much in these photos that gets me excited. Guess its good I live in the US!

Nice though to see other countries excited for the S550 and modding them. Even if their style is different, its wonderful to see this car across the world. :ford:

You have to replace the entire panel between the tail lights. They also have one with a pony logo on cap. Those are used on the EU spec EcoBoosts.

These panels regularly trade on eBay, because some people in Europe prefer to have the original US panel.

Thanks for the pics. I was surprised not to see more EB Mustangs. I thought that one of the goals of the EB Mustang was to open up the European market to Mustang sales.

Yeah I would probably go ford racing black out or US issue if I was across the pond too, however if u were doing a retro build--you could slap it on, add some chrome tail light trim, chrome window trim, some retro wheels, and 50th aniv grille and drive all the ladies at the sock hop wild lol!
