Can someone tell me what I've done wrong? I can't adjust the mirror to anywhere close to normal. It's movement is restricted. Also where do the red and green power tap cords?

Not trying to be a smartass but
"Find existing wires"

There's 5 existing on mine. Bottom right 2, top right 2 and another 1. Just pick any of them? Does the green and red color matter where they go?

The blue and black wire in your picture (fourth from the right on the bottom is the ground). The first from the right on the bottom is switchable power meaning it is powered when the car is on and off when the ignition goes down. Cannot see the colors in your picture but I believe it was yellow and grey. I am not familiar with the product you are using but this is how I powered my radar detector.

Are both of the bottom right ones that have existing wires switchable?

This is the product I have:

No just the furthest right one on the bottom. That is where your red lead will go and the green lead will go in the blue/black. What are you powering just out of curiosity?

Thank you! I shall try that. Just the Valentine radar.

Not sure that you have the same cord that I do but I had to cut the pins in half with some wire cutters to get them to go far enough in the back of the holes in that plug. Yours might be a little smaller I can't quite tell from the photo.

Does anybody knows what kind of pins are those (red and green on the picture)? I found similar looking pins on Amazon, but they sell only by 100's. I don't need that many :)

So I broke the green cord trying to push it in because it kept going on and off. Then I tried to plug it back into the cigarette lighter and the fuse pops out. Why is there an exposed fuse? And looks like we don't have any spare 2 amp fuses. Can I just get some universal power cord and not have to worry about the fuse thing?
