Hi all,

As said in the European group purchase thread, i'm able to make some custom bracket for us, european guys.

This would be better than the US one (which is very well made) from Craig's custom bracket, which is made for US plates, but wouldn't work very well with ours.

The difficulty is that in europe, we all have different sizes of plates, different laws, so i must know who is interested in that kind of bracket, and if interested, i need some infos.

Infos needed if you're interested:
- Plate length
- Plate height
- Plate fastening type on the bracket (rivet is mandatory like in France, or screw + nut is allowed)
- approx. position of fastenings on the plate
- Customized bracket or not (with nickname cutted in, or a pony logo, or whatever you want; or a simple one without any extra laser cutted thing)
- Stainless steel or aluminium
- Powder painted or as it comes from laser cutting

For sure the first would be hard to make, since nobody in europe could measure some dimensions of the front of the car.

The must have is X, and ideally, the angle of the second Arrow with X would be great (if some US pony guy could measure that for us, it would be great :hail:)

Let me know your interest in that, but for sure a minimum of 5 would be great to start working on it.

The only issue I'd have with a bracket like this is that they can also quite steal your plate :/
(Yes, they do that here)

Maybe that's a dumb question - what's the point of this bracket ? Not drilling the bumper ? Why do you care if there's always a plate in front of it ? Bumper's plastic anyway, not like it's going to rust...

Some pleople want to be able to remove the front plate when they have it on show at a car show (on private property).

Fords don't generally drill the bumper, it's the dealer I believe

He is the stang we had in work, no holes in bumper

That would be ideal if the case. Assuming there's no legal impediment to fitting the lower Sto-n-Sho type bracket it may be possible to have the dealer fit it ready for collection of the car.

I don't really know if euro-pony's would have holes drilled before arriving, but as some of european guys have said they would try to buy one of this kind of bracket, i think my proposal is just an answer to an expressed need.

I have full access to a laser cutting machine, to bending presses, to powder coating installation, so it would be a shame for me not to propose that.

And to be honest, i wouldn't put one on my car, mainly because here in France, you can hardly drive with this kind of stuff without being arrested every time you see a policeman.

This is a great idea and kudos to Pichon to offer his work for us!
At first I wasn't interest, why bother for some holes in the bumper? But then, reading some posts in US section, I realize that it could be useful to have such a bracket: shows mainly, but even when you will sell it, since there is such a few of these cars in europe, someone could be interested in collecting it and they sure don't like a bumper with holes..

I'll try to get measures today!

A friend of mine had his rear plate stealed even with rivets (not screws, rivets!) so I would not mind of that.. at last they will not rip the bumper!

Great work!!
What material is this? Can't argue from photo..
We also need some small rubber pad behind the plate holder, to avoid scratching the bumper.

Stainless steel, 2mm thickness, with some grease finger prints on it ;-p
No problem for rubber pads, it's intended
