Today we show you how to install Airaid's MXP Series cold air intake kit with a blue SynthaMax filter on our 2015 Mustang project car.

One sure fire way to get more horsepower is by adding a cold air kit. Airaid went all out to develop the best Cold Air Intake system for the all-new S550 platform. The new intake features a specially designed one-piece rotomolded intake box that draws cool outside air from the factory air duct location while having a unique shape that will promote airflow around the entire surface of the SynthaMax filter. The new air box design also utilizes a lid with a Plexiglass window that will add to your underhood styling while keeping the filter isolated from hot engine compartment air and will allow you to keep tabs on filter condition.

Installation is easy and should only take about an hour with basic hand tools. This cold air intake looks great, it sure to make some good power, and best of all, does not require a tune once installed.

Great guide, as always. High on my list for mods, provided it doesn't add much more intake noise and truly adds a few hp.

I would like to remove the insert for a custom tune. I did this install and don't remember seeing an insert. Would someone be able to help me? THX!
