I just noticed on my 2015 Premium that I have 2 little punctures in my seat already just from getting in and out with jeans on. You know how most jeans have little metal rivets on them? Well DONT wear them with this car. The leather is so thin that jeans will tear them up. 2 Years with my 2013 Mustang and I never had this issue, but the 2015 Leather is just a joke...

The buttons on my shorts back pockets scuff the leather in my Taurus a bit but it comes off with leather cleaner.

As you can see in the pic, these are actual holes. There's no scrubbing to get these out.

Did you attempt to get dealer to replace it?

Oh wow that really sucks. That should be a warranty claim hopefully.

I just noticed it today, havent take it to the dealer yet. But what are they going to do? Replace it with another paper thin seat? I mean, the car has 800 miles on it and already has 2 punctures from just wearing jeans. This is just terrible quality. The only thing I could imagine fixing it is replace it with Recaro's as I would HOPE that Recaro would enforce better quality, but I dont see that happening.

How were you able to puncture the side of the seat like that ? That has to be covered under warranty.

I'm not sure what to do honestly but I would get a new seat and figure it out lol. My mom had a 300 and that happened and the dealer replaced it for free

The things I have see thus far on these seats has me worried, I think Ford will be changing suppliers for sure.

They should replace that, not sure it will be different though.

Good luck.

Odd that is is the first complaint with the seats puncturing from jeans. I would expect that this is not the norm. There must have been something unusual to cause those punctures. The only way those rivets on jeans could cause that is if they were sharp. They just don't protrude that much.

Nope. I just snapped a picture of my 2 pairs of jeans rivets. Pretty standard.

By the way -- that's not leather. That's vinyl on the side bolsters. The leather is in the flat bottom and seat back; the bolsters are vinyl.

No clue, it's just the GT Premium black seats.
