2015-2017 Metra dash kits

This thread is to gain interest in the dash kits for the 2015 - 2017 Mustang. Per fourm rules this is not a "GROUP BUY" but you can p.m. me for the details! Lets get a list of people that are interested in replacing their OEM radio with a Metra kit. Please specify if you currently have a 4" or 8" radio.

Is it against rules to post prices here?

I do not have pricing yet, this is just to get a solid number of kits allocated so we are able to get pricing.I am not permitted by forum rules to conduct a group buy as I would need to become a sponsored member. That for me does not make sense as this will be a onetime deal. When pricing is available I will contact everyone on the list above and post in the FS thread.

Pre-payment will be necessary but I will not take payment until the kits are ready to ship from Metra. I will be asking for the kit price, PayPal fees and a set shipping cost.

That's what I was thinking also! My sources are wanting pre-payment for the kits. even if we were to get the pricing down to $400 each I would have a small fortune invested between 10-20 kits we would need. It seemed there was alot of interest in the kits but then the interest just completely fell off.

I do not have the confidence that all kits would be sold leaving me with a stock pile of something I do not need.

Just saw this post, is there a link to what these kits would look like?

But the images are identical and the only difference on the page description is that the antenna adapter is sold separately for the 4.2in one.

The 5840 is on ebay for $400 already too so getting it that low through a group buy just increases your own risk instead of trying it through here, the seller is 99.5% positive feedback.

My kit was 275 through my distributer I ordered 6 kits 5 of them sold for $315 shipped and insured over on another Mustang forum, they should be in and ship out next week. Final pricing was not disclosed here as I am not an authorized retailer eligible to conduct a group buy.

Now THAT is a reason to get included, good to hear. I'd ask for the last one but I'm not sure when I'd order my headunit or anything else yet.

If you could post some pics of the install, I'd appreciate it though.

I understand that's what they say, but what is actually different other than the antenna being sold separately? They look identical in every way from the pictures.

The 6th one is for my personal car!

The difference I believe is that the 8" version will retain Sync 3 on those equipped cars.
