Will it happen or not? I know some dealers have said they're getting allocations but I also heard a rumor that due to unforeseen issues, there may not be a 2017 model or at the most, lower production numbers than 2016.

What say ye?

They've committed to 2 years of the program. I highly doubt they'd invest all the time in money in the Voodoo to only produce it for a year. (Don't say 2015s make the second year either.) The cars are literally flying off the lot even with large markups. Imagine how many they could sell if production wasn't bottlenecked and there was no markups.

No way in hell there won't be a 2017 model. I'd make a large wager on it.

Well............Roadrunner was used for only 2 model years in the Boss 302.

However, the Boss was always going to be a 2 year only run to match the '69/'70 model years.

The GT350 is a minimum of two years. Plan on it being around longer than that if successful.

I can imagine the meeting right now...

Executive A: "Look at all this positive press the GT350 is getting. Pretty much everybody has a glowing review of it. It's winning many head-to-head comparisons."

Executive B: "Retail orders have been great. People are driving to the factory to demand their car before they're even ready. Dealers are charging large markups and in many cases, getting them."

Executive C: "Yeah, but we didn't think a modified S550 would be so hard to build."

Executive B: "It's that stupid flat plane crank, Bob."

Executive A: "It seemed like a good idea at the time. Oh well, let's can the model and the engine. I don't think we can engineer our way out of this one."

Executive B: "We got really lucky with how the Coyote turned out. We should just stick to cranking those out for the rest of the S550s life span."

Executive C: "Good call."

End scene.

It's already successful... The 12/13 B302s were successful and only a 2-year production run.

The UAW agreement also hinted at a modified Voodoo. One would assume that'd be for a future GT350, unless it were to go in another performance Mustang......

Maybe a Cobra remake or a Daytona Coupe remake?

Whilst a new Daytona Coupe would be hard to resist........I can't see them doing that whilst the (new) GT is their halo car.

I think a modified Voodoo would be headed for either a Mach 1/GT500 or more likely, GT350 Mk2 :)

That'd be the dream, but my bet is it being modified for the GT500 though, because I don't see the engine in it's current NA form lasting past the current GT350 model run. I don't think any car company can really afford a 15/21mpg car in their line up in 2020 and beyond.
