wow this is amazing, I'm going to go ahead and order all the parts and then hold off on the install until the finished bezel is available, great work!

Im assuming SAT radio will also be operational as well?
It can be programed yes! You will need a SAT enabled ACM however. I believe there is a thread in this section on what ACM part number is required.

Could you not just use the bezel and controls from the MFT-equipped interior? (And would the toggle switches work?)

You could but climate doesn't work. There is no way to change the temperature with the MFT bezel controls on manual climate systems.

Do you happen to know what the weight difference is between the two units? Or all said an done if you added weight?

If I were to guess (I didn't measure) I didn't add much weight if any. Maybe 1 pound if that.

For those of us with a GT350 coming, is it possible to add the Cobra image on the startup screen?

If this is possible with Sync 3, I may change my GT350 order to the track pack. We have MFT in our Focus ST, and I'm not a huge fan.

I would be willing to bet it is possible. Just a different APIM and screen for sync 3. The real question would be programming. Most of it as been as built data so as long as sync 3 follows as built data then it shouldn't be a problem. Would save you $7k right?

HOW TO: Add MyFord Touch to base model S550

I want the track pack option for the auxiliary coolers and slightly larger rear spoiler. That is part of a $6500 package, but it only comes with the base radio. I want the tech package, which is a $7500 option, because it has all the electronics and navigation goods, but it doesn't have the coolers, larger spoiler, or Recaros. You can only order one package or the other.

Ford said that the tech pack should be fine for about 15 minutes straight on track without the coolers, so I was going to go with that and cross my fingers that it wouldn't get too hot. I plan to drive 99% of the time on the street, and the base radio in the track pack just looks cheap to me for a $55,000-$60,000 car. I don't want to be disappointed by my interior since that's what I'll see when I'm actually using the car.

If this swap works, I could eliminate my main gripe about the look of the base interior. Then, I could have Recaros, coolers, the better spoiler, and the nicer looking dash.

I would have zero issues doing this mod to a base GT. But a GT350? I definitely would not do one of those, unless you plan to keep the car for a while. A future purchaser would want a car like that, as it came from the factory. Just my opinion though.

I plan to keep it. I feel that this will probably be Ford's best NA V8 that will ever be built. I think that things are trending away from high powered, high RPM NA because of stricter emissions coming in the next few years. I have no interest in turbos or superchargers for my personal car.

I WAS planning to keep my 2013 GT and build it until I started hearing about the Voodoo rumors. It's going to be an awesome engine.

Ill install for anyone in texas but we will have to work with jmr on the programming. I have most of the equipment, but he has something a little more specialized for the apims.

I'm no stranger to mechanical work or electrical faffery (I'm a mechanic by trade and work primarily on electric motors) but I'd even pay a few extra bucks to have an all-in-one package with pre-made connectors, just to save myself the hassle and stress.
