Didn't even notice it until I got to the car show this past weekend, looks like I'll be taking it in.

Well,
I made a post earlier in this thread about how this made my skin crawl (my 12 had this issue).... Went to wipe the engine bay down, and sure enough it has begun... Guess I will be visiting the dealer tomorrow.

Car has 34k miles on it, thank god it's showing its face now.

I hate to say it, but the Ford 5 year warranty is for perforation of sheet metal caused by corrosion. perforation is defined in the dictionaries as 'a hole'. Blistering paint is not a hole in sheet metal.

That means legally Ford and the dealers can refuse to address this, most likely after the 3/36 warranty expires.

Nobody implied they would cover this kind of damage after the 3/36 expires. That's why every manufacturer covers their ass by adding "perforation" in the description

And the link in that post clearly explains the fine print where Ford can deny your claim if it's not perforated

Hard to see the true effect on a OW car, but trust me it looks horrible in person.. you can actually see where the paint itself iS cracking... Going to be bringing it into the dealer tomorrow to battle it out with them... I am currently sitting at 35k miles, and will be taking a 1200 mile trip in October.
