MGW installed was fairly easy for me, but I had the driveshaft out also :D. The videos help a lot and you will need to review it a few times. Don't install it until you watch it at lease once and then go for it. There are parts of the video where you may and may not need to do. For my install, I didn't need to unbolt the base of the OEM shfter. I ended up taking the whole OEM shifter out in one piece and the MGW came built already. I don't think the video reflect this and you will need to keep it in mind. Use blue loctite on the bolts before installing and once everything is in, then tighten everything. The small 10mm bolt at the very top where you have to pull the tranny down is a bear, but I was able to reach up there and slide my arm into place for bolting. Then I slid my arm towards the rear of the car and was free after wards. Hardest part for me was the rubber boot. I don't know why I such a hard time sliding that thing over .
Definitely agree with all of that. Doing it with the driveshaft out would have made it much easier.

I want the MGW too. Had the Steeda on my S197 and it was very notchy.

Anyone interested in a group buy from MGW USA? We may get discount and will defenitly save on P+P. Either that or I'll just buy two or three and sell em here?

I am surprised why so many went Steeda to be honest.

Steeda is a broad liner that sells a lot of nice products.

MGW specialises in just building shifters, so it is pretty transparent to see that MGW will be way ahead of competitors in this market, particular broad liners like Steeda.

Want the best then buy the product from a company who specialises in just that product or OEM equipment.

MGW all the way, though Barton should be pretty damn good too as again they focus on just shifters. :)

Only thing that is still weird about my MGW shifter install was that it looks off center. Mines seem to sit towards the upper right more from a birds eye view facing the the front of the car. Anyone else had this issue or is my tranny just sitting off?

I believe this is indeed normal but it was also corrected on the revised versions. Check with MGW as they might send you the bits to upgrade yours if it bothers you. :)

Yes, would be interested if the saving was worthwhile :)

How do the import duties work in the Netherlands? It may be more beneficial for you to get them and send one to me here in the UK?

Same as the UK, so far as I know. And VAT is 21% here.

I believe that was an issue/complaint about the first batch. They have changed/corrected that though. I think they may even have a solution for you if it's bothersome. I was lucky enough to get the revised model.

I've spoken to MGW tonight. They will offer a small discount for multiple purchases, but will only post two max to the UK via UPS.

I think I'll order two tonight then sell one on. I think Kapitan would be better off buying one himself as I think you may get charged import duty twice if you get one from me?

No. Once EU import is paid, it's paid. Inter EU postage attracts no extra costs.

Can I put first dibs on it.... Let me know what you want for it.... :)

Done. You have first refusal.

I will buy two tonight, with a small discount, plus a small saving on postage. I use UPS as they are very reliable and will give a great service.

There will obviously be an additional cost to post to you, but when the time comes you can decide whether to buy from me or MGW, I'll be able to sell the spare one on.
