I'm in for the vinyl, but on your car probably is better without..

I'd paint it black so can't see the LED's. :clap2:

Sorry John, I think they look awful, but each to their own.

I will try with with the vinyl and see how it looks like. Then decide if I keep the vinyl or remove it.

Lol I really like the design of it. Better the OEM one we have on the car for me.

It does not look bad to me, it's better than the OEM one with that white\red\white plastic!

I just found out this pictures about our OEM rear fog light.
Seems that everything is plugged into one connector. I really need this connector to make the new light plug & play :clap2:

If someone has infos about the connector, let me know

Just cut the connector from your OEM unit and let the next owner worry about it.

It will most likely be used for a US to EU conversion where they probably have a different contra connector and will have to run new wiring for the foglight anyway.

or you can use some small blade connector and 'create' your own :)

With or without vinyl ...
The unit isn't perfect, but overall I'd say looks better than the OEM white/red/white. Think I'll probably end up buying one myself. Not sure about the tint, white could work better with the white rears.

Just cut the connector from your OEM unit and let the next owner worry about it.
.
It's not ideal, but you'll probably have to end up doing this. But you could introduce a second connector (if you know what I mean?) rather than directly join the wires, which will make it easier to change back if and when you need to. Maybe contact the supplier to see if they can source, or know where to source the OEM connector?

The 'Installation' post

Guys,

As always, I had a lot of fun this day with the installation of my new reverse light :headbang:

For the point of the connector, I finally cut the OEM connector and connected it to the new wire. I used little 'connectors' I had in house for that, than put thermal tape over the connector.

That's the difference between the 2 lights :

Sorry I don't have pictures from under the car, really not enough space to take good pictures...

And now, some before/after pictures :

Before (without light) :

After (without light) :

After (reverse light) :

Before (fog + reverse light) :

After (fog + reverse light) :

A better view

Good job mate (as always :D)
I really like the new shape of the fog light, very 'modern'!
Is the new reverse light brighter? It seems so, but don't know if the two previous bulbs combined made more light.

Now I am more convinced about that!! Damn you John!! :paddle:

Edit: I could end up using the rear fog light, since I never use it (even with fog.. but this is because noone can reach me from behind :D )
Today I swapped my front fog lights so... well, pictures soon!
