Factory Shorty Filter Replacement!

So, I've been doing some digging to try and find a replacement for the shorter factory filter that came on some of the 5.0L cars. I found a part lookup on WIX that showed a shorter version of their 57502(FL500S). Its PN 57060 and the only difference is the bypass pressure. Which isn't really an issue unless you never change your oil and filter.

Ford lists the FL500S bypass between 16 and 20 psi. WIX says their 57502 is 22psi and the 57060(Shorty) is 12psi. Purolator's version is a PH2222 that has 12-15 psi bypass. Amsoil has a Ea15k50 filter that has no bypass(from what I can tell).

Dimensions
Motorcraft FL500S is 4.1" long

WIX 57060 is 3.45"
Purolator PH2222 is 3.34"
Amsoil Ea15K50 is 3.4"

I may try the Ea15K50 next time.

The reason I could use a shorter filter is because I'm using a sandwich plate with oil pressure and temp sensors. This setup moves the filter too close to the frame to remove or install it. I have to remove the drivers side motor mount nut and jack the engine up to change it out. Not a huge deal, but shorter would be better. I'm currently running an Amsoil Ea017 filter.
