Thread - Off Topic

You want to know why this thread is going off the rails?
BECAUSE FORD WONT RELEASE THE DAMM SPECS ON THE NEW COYOTE ENGINE. NO HP / TQ NUMBERS - NOTHING.

:frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty:

That is why this thread is all over the place. We got nothing to discuss except how ugly the front fascia looks. Would be nice if some aftermarket players at least jump in with - hey we got this new front fascia for the 2018 model mustangs.

Hood is my issue too. The lines look like crap...they don't flow at all...look shoehorned in.

Front look is OK. It's side view that sucks.

Let me get this back on track: oh boy that front end looks ugly .
I didn't realize this thread was only about the front end.

We could have saved 200+ pages on this if someone had posted a poll early on. (Or have they?)

The fascia to hood flow on the 2018 looks much more symmetrical versus the prior. IMO. Forgive the nonperfect lines as well.

Indeed...........back on track :p

Spotted this on another forum:

"Howdy folks, a friend of mine who lives very close to me here in NW Austin spotted these two Mustangs being offloaded onto a side street near his condo complex. They appear to be 2018's, with painted license plates (manufacturer?) I thought I'd share them for you all (hope this is ok!) Apologies for the blurry one but it appears to be a blue 5.0. Are these indeed 2018's?"

ApollosWar89 I understand what you are trying to say but I think, like art, it is a matter of perspective. what you see is not what I see at all. I see the lines of the "old" mustang as flowing in a smooth direction for the most part and the "new" mustang is interesting lines everyplace. ( a little like the F117 stealth fighter or maybe a cut diamond) I don't know maybe that is what they were going for with the redesign?

Either way I think there will always be those who like it and those who don't.

With those Plates, maybe they're getting ready to shoot the 2018 Brochure Photos.

I agree most of the 2018 lines look very good. For me the bust on the front end is those damn slapped on 2 hood scoops they used. As I noted in prior posts even if they could have sunk the front edge of the scoop more (like a flattened check mark, with the front of the check mark dropping 90 degrees from the hood about 2 inches and the long leg of the check mark flowing back towards the window) and avoided the raised bump effect along the outer edge.

I would sure like the opportunity to see this 2018 in person before I say too much. I'm in Alberta Canada does anyone know if any of the 2018's are being displayed in Canada? Alberta? .... this FORD waiting game to supply all the data really sucks. :(:(:tsk:
