I have the MSD setup.I ran the blue/white wire into the cabin. I then hookedit to the black/green wire that goes to the clutch switch.

When I start the car I push clutch in, light goes off on MSD. I floor it, and its like the MSD isn't there. I have it set to 2k RPM.

Also, does this hurt anything long term? I have built motor OPG etc etc.

I would say double check all your wiring, grounds and all. As far as hurting anything no it will not unless you sit on the 2-step WOT for extended time.

I used the green/violet wire from the car and the solid blue wire from the MSD and mine works great. If you search 2 step, you will find a thread talking about this.

Green/violet wire at the bottom clutch position sensor is what u want to tap into. Use the solid blue activation wire, not the blue/white like the directions state

So he can set the rpm to what ever he wants it to launch from, instead of having to try and hold the throttle peddle at the rpm you wish, it's more consistent

My hope is it will help with launch. Making 1000rwhp I'm cutting like 2.3 plus 60 foot times truing to launch. 2 step I mash the gas, ease up on clutch should get better launch.

oh ok, Im used to owning Evo's so I was under the impression mustangs stock ecus had a stationary rev limiter you could mess with. I noticed the msd 2 step doesnt build up much boost either , only 5 to 6 psi so it should be fine.

2 step doesn't really control boost. Boost is controlled by rpm. So at 3k rpm car a mat build 6psi but case b with small pulley may produce 12psi at 3k rpm

Do you guys turn up the rpm in msd when not at track? Was just in highway, cruising in 5th (6060 trans) dropped to 3rd I think rpms we're like 4k but car went nuts then picked up for a second. My msd rpm are set at 3500 right now. Should I bump that to 7k on street?

Hmm that one I'm not sure on, I have a on/off switch wired to mine. I've been meaning to do a write up for a while. Guess I need to

Ya you need a way to bypass it for street driving. IE: the suggested cutoff switch anywhere in the circuit to interupt it. The only downside to wiring it to the clutch switch.

I haven't had to change my settings, and I don't have mine connected to a switch to disable when I'm not at the track. Seems like there shouldn't be an issue since the 2 step should only be activated when your clutch is depressed.

And you are at idle rpm then go WOT, I assume it's similar to the WOTBOX.
