I wanted a GT/CS and waited and waited to see for a Mach 1 in 2018, but even the default 2018 has so many new features and a power bump, so I now start back over again waiting still for the Mach 1, or a GT/CS with the new specs.

I would go with the facelift but a save a bit of money for a Steeda or Roush front for it. Should be easy for them to fix the frontend, then the facelift is clearly the better deal

I still have a few months before I start making any decisions on which way to go but I am leaning towards the 2017. Now if the 18 comes in priced closer to the 17 similarly equipped I may go that way. Price + Timing of order dates will be the determining factor for me.

Thinking the same way - price is key here. If I can't get the 2018 Mustang GT Premium at the price I want. I can always get a 2017 and have some lose change to throw on some mods. :D

After the info came out about the 2018, I was thinking about waiting for it. That was until it sounded like I probably wouldn't have it until September-October. Mulled over it and decided I'd rather miss out on a couple upgrades than miss out on another summer enjoying my car. Ordered my 2017 today. :headbang:

A new one is always better than the old one...
I'd take the new version for sure.
Mama taught me to avoid using words like "always" and "never." Case in point....

1971 Mustang was not better than the 1970 it replaced.
1974 Mustang II was not better than the 1973 it replaced.
1996 Mustang 4.6L was not better than the 1995 5.0L it replaced.

Many other examples exist in the automotive world. New is not always better.

As long as we see Camaro like performance and handling, I am interested!

I agree. The Camaro already moved up in the price point range, and took there lumps in doing so. Ford will likely follow suit and that will shift the entire Pony Car segment up stream. The 17 may be a real bargain in the coming years.

Inner termoil.. can you wait, or will you succumb to anticipation? If you can wait 8 months, all of this will be moot.

Logic dictates that the MY2018 is a better car, all the way around. (aesthetics aside..)
