So just curious, how are you guys/gals racing the car?

Are you just disabling AdvanceTrac then running? Pulling fuses? Sport Mode?

I don't plan to set the world on fire with my PP GT....but when I do go to the track, I like to make it count.

Sunday I was running a string of 12.30s@114 (2400DA) with basically just a tune and drag radials on my 20" HRE wheels. I actually think the drag radials hurt more than helped, as I could not get the car to stop bogging. I was cutting the same times on the drag radials as the stock tires. lol

All of my passes were just disabling ATrac.

Input?

My best pass was 11.95@115 with tune and hoosier slicks, bmr springs at Bradenton Motorsports park. I launch at 6k rpm and dump the clutch. All traction control is disabled including advance trac.

Awesome, thanks for your input.

So when you run the car, you do not pull fuses....you just disable everything?

That is correct. I also asked my tuner to remove clutch protection and torque management. On stock tune and slicks I couldn't get into 12s. Every time I tried to launch my car on stock tune with slicks at 5500-6000rpm it would take off hard and immediately cut the power on 1st gear. Once I shift into 2nd power restores.

Awesome thanks!

I ordered the Hoosier slicks for a set of 17x10 Billet Specialty rears to try out next outing.

I went 12.3s@114 with 1.93 sixties, which corrected to 11.9@117 ish based on weather conditions....so I think I can get significantly into the 11's at over 115 next time out. I will be very happy with that, with my mods. Or lack of I guess.

I've ran 11.7s with Hoosier Slicks and MT Drag radials. Always in Race Mode with Advance track off. Only suspension mods are BMR Diff and Cradle lockout kits. Launching at 5500 and dumping clutch seems to work the best. lol

I do. Although I did run 11s without them as well while I was waiting for them to be shipped. I usually cut 1.6x 60' times. Think I need some shocks and more BMR bits to go lower.

With drag radials I had to slip the clutch to get the best time. With a tune and drag radials I went 11.8 at 116. My 60 ft slipping the clutch was around 1.59-1.65. I run in track mode with advanced track off. I leave at about 4500 riding the clutch out and applying power. On slicks I leave at 5500 releasing the clutch quickly.

Same as this guy^^,track mode, advance track off,do not use launch control!!!!.Leave at about 4 to 4.5k rpm and slip clutch a little. Also as one member stated if your clutch protection is no t off its possible to bog out no matter how high rpm u launch.Tune drag radial and cat delete i ran 11.8 with 1.6xx 60 ft.

Hah. I'm still learning this drag stuff.

I got 3 runs in last month. My best so far was a 13.0@108 with a 2.2 60' on 20" with NT555 G2 and a lund FF tune. I definitely have work to do because on a roll race my buddy only had me by about a full fender up to 120 in his Z28 with 75hit that runs 11.8-11.6. I haven't learned how to get the car off the line without blowing the tires off. I tried 2k/3k launch, a little clutch slip, etc. I have the 3.73 gears.

I know you didn't ask for non-drivers but wanted to share for maybe input ;)

My best run so far was an 11.45@122 with a 1.62 60ft. Just disable AdvanceTrac and dump the clutch at 6K. I do have DSS halfshafts and clutch protection was disabled in my tune.

My clutch was slipping pretty good on the last couple runs that I did. Based on the mph I'm confident its got an 11.1 or 11.2 in it once I get my McLeod RST in.
