How's the maintanence and upkeep? I'm assuming satin black will show fewer scratches and swirls than gloss black, but what about things like bird droppings, tree sap, water spots after it rains, etc. Does the wrap need to be cleaned right away to prevent damage to the vinyl? Living in south florida, it rains everyday during the summer...i don't want to have to wipe the roof down every day to keep the water spots from setting in.

Any pics?

I had gloss black on my last car. I loved the look. Chose gloss because I wanted it to mimic the glass roof look so many of the new cars have.... Great inexpensive mod imo.

I initially wanted to do it in gloss black, but worried that it would show scratches, water spots, etc. How did yours hold up? After rain, did you have to wipe off the roof asap to keep the water spots from setting in?

Never wiped it down after rain only regular drying after washing the car. No issues with water spots. The vinyl does show swirls like paint.... but it is very durable.
* It's like everything, you will notice every little imperfection but nobody else will.
After I had it done I couldn't imagine the car without it....

Sucks to hear. Did you take it back? Doesn't sound right for a quality wrap to go south like that after 1 week.

Still happy with mine!

I was told by the installer that it's does not heal like gloss will with heat if you do scratch it.
I've had it on since fall of last year and its holding up great. As you can tell I have other satin vinyl on the hood and fenders. They are holding up fine as well. Whoever you have install the vinyl has vinyl care products that can help keep it looking new. I have not washed the car after every rain, and have not had any issues with water stains or marks.

I live in Texas, so it's similar weather, except for the hurricanes.

This pic was before the hood piece was added.
