Haven't had the green belt on too long and it's already make a bit of noise during cold starts.

I saw that Gates also carries these RPM belts in many different sizes. Has anyone tried one yet? Thoughts?

Browsing various vette and hellcat forums, I see positive threads so far.

As I understand the Rpm gates belt works great, Im about to put one on, but you need to set the tensioner at 20-30% instead of 60-70% because it doesn't stretch as much but I would like to know from a rep if this is really true

They

Are

Awesome

We are hoping to get a stocking order of them in soon. But no ETA yet.
When I installed my kit a couple months ago, PC tech support on the phone recommended the Gates green HD belt. Is this one better or do you still recommend the HD one?

The HD technically wasn't really designed for what a blower does.
In some cases it helps, in others, it hurts.

The RPM belts are designed with high HP superchargers in mind.
They just didn't release them till recently and in limited sizes.

They have no drastically expanded the line up. :)

Ok thanks! Is it as simple as just swapping the belt with my stage 2 system? Someone earlier said they had to adjust something else to use this belt.

I run this and set in the middle of travel. This is the supplied Whipple belt and I believe that is how they told me to set it. It's "doesn't stretch as much" means it will not take as much adjustment when it breaks in and you re-tension.

Looks like I don't have the RPM belt after all. It is supplied by Whipple but just plain K061066

I called Gates and they recommend these RPM belts for supercharger applications. They said the green HD belt is only designed for around 4500 RPM for vehicles that run all day such as trucks, buses, etc.

I definitely did not get one with mine. Came with the gates centry series or something.

Thanks for calling. Makes sense, the info sheet they have on the HD touts the cheapest cost per mile, so they are really for longevity more than anything.

Same here :frusty:, I wonder why since that belt I received only lasted for 10k miles.
