I'm sure there is some NDT we can do as well while we are at it... x-ray or ultrasonic (or both, might as well be thorough).

Joking aside, so long as you like it and it works, more power to you. Personally, I have seen guys break wheels (or other stuff) because the aftermarket wheel wasn't manufactured well or it weighed to damn much for the suspension. Since I am an aggressive driver, I'd like to know if I'm inheriting a problem or about to start with an awesome upgrade.
I'm with you there! Nothing worse than "improving" something with a performance part only to make matters worse or break....we've all been there I'm sure.

ok, so it looks like I'm going SVE 350 or GT7's in a 285front/305 rear for track use. Anyone have any reason why they think I shouldn't or why that wont work? Any strength concerns while tracking?

I really like the gt7 wheel, but i wish they did a gloss black. I may have to go for the more expensive and lighter p51 wheels next spring, since they come gloss.

I just did the GT7's from LMR with 19x11.5 rears and 19x10 fronts.

Awesome, they are my #1 choice right now. Can't wait to see some pics start to show up (especially want to see them on a magnetic car).

Just tossed them on. Very..very light wheels, using my back scales.

Out of curiosity HISSMAN, why did you choose the 19s over the 20s? I'm about to pull the trigger and on the fence.

Tire choice. I like a beefier sidewall. And you can get them in an 11.5 which will allow for more meat later on if I want it.

Gotcha. I was leaning toward the 20" since I'm not lowered but your car make the 19s look good!

I just received my GT7 19x10 for front and GT7 19x11.5 for the rear. I tried to mount the wheels yesterday on my new supercharged car I bought about 2 weeks ago. The cost was $80 to transfer TPMS from my PP wheels and $140 to mount/balance the tires. When they put the wheels on the car to get a quick check, the mechanics complained that there was 'no way' they would fit since they needed offset spacers. This might have something to do with my choice of extra wide tires, but I had the old MRR-M350 19x10 and 19x11 with 295/30R19 and 305/30R19 fitting perfectly on my last 2015 GT with PP mustang. So I am hoping the same front combo should work my new wheels. The installer gave up before they mounted the new tires to the GT7 because he can see the back won't fit. The back is now 0.5" wider than my old wheels. I upgraded my rear tire to be a 325/30R19 (13" wide). The 305/30R19 was only 12" wide. I just ordered a 3/4" spacer for the 19x11.5 (won't arrive until late next week) for the back wheel. I could have went with a 1/2" spacer, but a visual inspection looked like it needed the 3/4". I really wanted to get these wheels installed yesterday when I received them, but the guy said there is no way to fit those rear wheels without the inside of the tire rubbing on the inside of the car without some extra offset.

So what is the difference here other than price? Both are flow formed and same design.

I track my car and want a 19x10 square set-up, and these are what I'm considering along with Project6gr's.

Anyone run these on track yet? Either set? Any danger you think in running the SVE's on track. I like the price, but makes me skeptical.
Project 6gr wheels are track proven! By several clients who track pour wheel and a customer who owns a track in Northern California. Wheels are rotary forged, JWL and VIA certified. Price speaks for itself! If interested in Project6gr wheels email me [email protected] would be happy to assist you.

I thought the 11.5s were only for GT350 applications? That would be why you need the wheel spacer.

i have the mrr350 wheels. ive tracked them road coarse and drag no issues. gonna try out the 5 spoke 6gr wheels next.

also only complaint i have about the two mrr wheels ive had is the paint. i was also told by a rep they do not focus on the inner wheel well. more the face of wheel. other than that they have been solid track wheels. definitely noticed the weight difference from stock pp wheels. o and also got selected for the sponsorship sent my card info and everything to pay for shipping, yet never got the wheels or a response. lol

anyone know how much the 5 spoke 6gr wheels weigh?
