So I got my O/R headers put on with my Mach XV cat-back and am now looking for a way to cut down on the rasp. I don’t mind loud exhaust but want to add or switch to something with better tone. Any recommendations on how to cut it down some.

I ran the Mach XV with MAK cat deletes. (My Mach XV Catback is for sale)

The rasp was actually pretty tame. It was a great sounding setup.

Are you running the XV (Muffler) or Race midpipe?

Im running the XV muffler, debating now if I have anywhere I can add in some resonators. People have suggested that I try to put in some pypes M80 resonators.

looking at how the catback routes, there really isn't a section straight and long enough after the muffler to put in the resonators.

You might be able to do something ahead of the muffler. But you'd need to switch or modify your headers to terminate to 3" instead of down to factory connect and then cut the pipes off the front of the muffler and put resonators there. Not sure of the length you'd need nor if they make a resonator short enough.

I think dynomax makes some small bullet resonators.

I've already cut out the neck down part so I'm at 3inch from the headers back. I may end up putting an h-pipe with resonators and some sort of axle back.

I'm just really surprised you find the setup raspy. Usually LT's lower the rasp (I think).

My setup wasn't what I considered raspy.

Good luck finding something that works.
