Hey guys, so as most of you know that I own a 2017 convertible GT in auto. How many of you guys remember the burning smell that comes thru the cabin for the first few thousand kilometers? Well I'm still getting that smell when I push it a little and the car has almost 7k on the clock. Still all stock but I'm looking at doing some work to it. Any ideas before I head over to my dealer?

I have just under 4000k on mine and it still smells hot if you give it a bit of stick.

This burning smell is from the black corrosion protection spray they carefully applied to the underside of export mustangs :shrug: not to be confused with the new car burning smell that stops after a 1000km :headbonk:

But my mate has a brand new stang with 237 km on the clock, superchargered and drive it like it's stolen and no smell... but makes sense what your saying. Thanks for that

Perhaps his is being masked by the smell of burning rubber :headbang:

They were pretty slap dash with that black underspray, maybe he didn't get much of a coating, I ended up with half of it as black spots over every horizontal panel. I had to clay it off over an entire Sunday.
