Lost 2nd key fob

Hi guys, I cant remember where I lost my 2nd fob and I'm scared someone might have access to my car. Is there anyway to reprogram my keyfob so 2nd fob will not work? Please help. Thanks.

you need the dealer to erase your current code and reprogram. see page 60 of your owners manual

...and now you have to buy two keys.

And he has to get new keys and locks too because that person can still unlock the car with the key.

why two keys, both the new key and the old key are programmed together?
what is the probability of a person finding a mustang key and then finding the car that it matches and using the metal key to open the door sounding the alarm?

there is a physical key inside the fob that can open the door

it can only open the door if the person finding the FOB can find the car and if the car has been reprogrammed the alarm will go off.

You need to have both OEM keys to order one of the interwebs and program it yourself.

Exactly! Just need one new fob. Once the new and current fob/s are reprogrammed to the vehicle, the old fob becomes useless.

Roughly $170, plus most dealers charge for programming. The backup key in the fob is extra too.
