According to Lund tech they cap their tunes at 30 degrees and have not seen increased power beyond that. He said they haven't seen knock on 93, hence in their tunes increasing octane above 93 does not increase spark advance.

There was also a guy that validated this at the strip running 1/4 mile times with the increased octane. After several sample runs with both 93 and race gas the race gas was clearly faster.

Unless your running really honest 93, Lund is wrong, I have his tune, and watch knock. Maybe its shit gas in Ohio but 93 can register knock, and 93 does not always see 30. Your mileage and fuel may vary. Its why I switched to e85. Its my understanding that e85 has the same max timing and it is clearly better down low.

First dyno set for Friday at 10am with 98ish octane. Follow-up with 93 will be set for next week. We will see soon enough.

Just saw your other post about shift RPMs and noticed you only have 700 miles on the car.

I think you should wait until you at least 2000 miles before doing a dyno on the vehicle. Just my 2cents

Just saw your other post about shift RPMs and noticed you only have 700 miles on the car.

I think you should wait until you at least 2000 miles before doing a dyno on the vehicle. Just my 2cents
Dyno is that hard on the car? I was thinking 1000 since that is what is recommended before tracking the car.

Everyone who is tuned and has access to e85 should be running it. It's $2.25 race fuel.

Everyone who is tuned and has access to e85 should be running it. It's $2.25 race fuel.
We have e85 here but I don't want to void the warranty. Maybe at 36,001 miles.

Waiting on print out but tech said 489 at rear wheel. I'll post graph when I get home.
Done.

Ok, here are the variables.
4th gear pull
Humidity 54%
Temp 77 degrees Fahrenheit
38 feet above sea level
They did not have the exact engine in their system and the closest was the Ford 5.4L.
Their printer crapped out after printing this page which is not the cosponsoring graph pic. They are two different pulls. All three pulls were consistent +/-8hp between pulls. Next week when I go back I will test again running 93. Then I will be able compare apples to apples and hopefully get the printouts for all pulls.

I did take a pic of pull one. HP increased with each pull.
