1.60 60' on stock stall. Room for improvement.

Hey guys,

First time ever to a track last weekend.
Car: '15 GT VMP Gen2 Stage 3. E85. 82mm pulley. Catback. (Chasing false knock so a little low on power)
Tire: 305/45/17 ET Street R's out back @ 22psi

Best time of 6.80 1/8th and consistent 1.60 sixty foot times. I tried leaving anywhere from idle to 1,500 rpm with same results. I've seen guys with 1.5x 60's with almost simialr setups. Do I just need more seat time? Any suggestions?

Nice times what Cat back are you using? Whats making you think you have false knock and where do you think its coming from? 6.8 is good 1/8 times should be some 10.70 .60s 1/4 times, maybe try dropping psi on tires around 18 and work from there might get you into the 1.55 range.

On my datalogs I was getting as high as 8* knock...and this is on e85 @ 20* spark advance which was dropping me as low as 16* timing. I've since found it, a clip on my hood was tapping my supercharger (I cut it off) and now all my logs have 0 knock on 22* timing, so I'm looking forward to my next trip!
I will def drop psi next trip as well! Possibly even have my headers and 75mm pulley. Just depends on how soon I get back to the track.

I have the MBRP catback with H-pipe.

My optimum tire pressure thus far has been 18psi, as mentioned above. Yet I've also only been able to cut a 1.6000 60' so far.

TVS/Roush (93 w/VP Octanium)here with full exhaust and still on the stock 85 pulley. I stall mine as high as it will go and my best 60' has been a 1.54. It is pretty consistent in the 1.5's
