Which size drag radials should I buy? 315/35/17 or 305/45/17?

Me: 2016 GT, Roush TVS, stock 670hp tune, automatic transmission, 3:55 rear, LCA bearings, BMR cradle lock out kit, Viking rear drag shocks.

The stock wheel size is 255/40/19 which is 27" diameter. The 315/35/17 is 25.7" diameter and the 305/45/17 is 27.8"

the 305/45 tire will have a bigger contact patch, taller sidewall, and should perform better despite being narrower. may i suggest the m/t 3572 as i believe they are proven to work pretty damn well on our a6 cars.

Rob, I'm going with Mickey Thompson 3572 ET Street R Radial Tire P305/45R17. At my power level & stall converter I need these! Setting up dedicated drag wheel set.

I'm planning on the 305/45/17 as well. Already have 17X10.5 race star's just waiting on funding for the tires. Way more tire than I need currently, but don't want to have to buy more tires someday when the power justifies.

This is the exact set up im eyeballing right now, only thing is i have no interest in running skinnies up front.

with a 17x10.5 wheel and 305/45/17 tire run properly with my performance package wheels upfront being theyre 19 vs the 17s in the rear.??

First time buying drag wheel set up. looking to get MT ET Streets

Any input?

Lots of people do this. I'll be keeping my 20" street tires on front. I heard your should not mix bias ply drag tires with radials so if you are going to stick with stock radials on the front make sure you get drag radials.

I heard you need 18" at minimum to clear the Brembos
