After seeing this thread I was curious about the tow rating for the 2015 Mustang. I looked in the manual.

The max towing weight for all three powertrains (GT, EB, V6) is 1000 lbs.

Trailer hitch for 2015 Mustang on etrailer site now.
http://www.etrailer.com//p-C11405.html

It's $216.00.
The site says does not fit GT but here's what etrailer says:

From: Michael Lindsay [mailto:[email protected]]
Subject: Re: etrailer.com - Question About a Product from Bob Chapman

Curt tells me that there are NO fit exclusions for the hitch, including for the GT.
The fit exclusion we had on our site was in error, and the person responsible will be severely beaten! (Just kidding, but we'll fix it.)

Michael,
On your web site it says this is not for GT.
I have a GT…..can you check if this will fit?

Can someone explain why Curt sells their hitches directly from themselves for nearly $400 while etrailer sells Curts same hitches for half the price?

Also just found out AutoAnything is selling Curt's hitch for only $179!

Has anyone tried fitting their bike in the trunk with rear tire still on?
I mountain Bike every weekend so I brought my 29er full suspension to the dealership frame only and it fit, just wondering if the rear tire on would make it in cause it's a pain to take off.

Yup...crud...looks like the same one, C11405! Looks like I paid a little too much. Oh well. Supposed to be getting mine on Friday.

I got my 26" Specialized FS in with ease with front wheel off, pedals off, seat off and left rear wheel on. I think a 29 might fit ok.

Thanks for the tip...

Just ordered the trailer hitch...my convertible is supposed to be delivered by the Easter Bunny (EDD: 04/05). I was worried that I would have to stick my bike into the back seat. Thanks for the 20%OFF tip also...my total cost (free shipping) was only $144 (buying directly from Curt would have cost 2 1/2 times that). This forum has already saved me a lot of money by members informing everyone else about new items on sale and coupon savings.

Now if only some manufacturer, some where, would get on the ball and start making molded splash guards. It feels like Ford will be making another model change before the splash guards are available.

just ordered one too. Definitely the best way to transport bike. I will install it with Roush axle back together.

I'm getting one for my 2015 GT. I had a hitch on my 2011 V6 and always had to point it out to others before they saw it but it was handy for getting my bike around. The new owner wasn't too keen on it though and I'm sure he's removing it.

Glad to see Curt makes one for the 2015!

Use code NATIONAL20 for 20% off until 4/6.

Cost is $143.99 with free shipping with orders over $99.
