Made great use of it all summer 10311035_10204316571818768_9062966285617277736_n (1).jpg 11401158_10204316572018773_3858091468037818061_n (1).jpg 11206945_10204416489636651_2082650565554169515_n.jpg 11709815_10204461388519095_2834884103390019637_o.jpg 11187764_10204461390399142_1459336021154869406_o.jpg 11666198_10204470871636167_4687683943909174572_n (1).jpg 11703139_10204471612014676_4034967951130403437_n (2).jpg 11707761_10204508868626068_3830738213863947640_n.jpg 11062043_10204508869346086_8488033072732792330_n.jpg 11696418_10204539331827629_4746712761253432206_o.jpg

Cheapest I can find them online here at AutoAnything.com
http://www.autoanything.com/towing/73A3874A0A0.aspx

so glad I paid someone else to install this instead. Took my shop a little over an hour to install, but they spent 80% of the time trying to fish the damn bolts through! . They ended up having to remove the hitch and file away all the paint around the bolt holes to be able to pull the bolts through but even then, it took them forever to get the angles just right, BUT even when they aligned the holes with the frame perfectly, the bolt wasn't in the hex slot in metal plate, so they spent forever just wiggling it around until it finally seated in the plate.

Also another great thing about having no mufflers is they were able to lift the hitch straight onto the frame without having to take the exhaust off the hangers

I ride. My old rack doesn't work with the mustang bc of the way that panel covers the back of trunk. I just take wheels off and put it in the trunk. I think a hitch would be an eye sore. No offense if that's what ur doing. The only thing I would consider is the rack that suctions on. I ve seen those and they pretty much work on anything.

I was just going to post this question! I was wondering when someone would release a hitch. I use a hitch mounted rack for my bikes. Those prices seem crazy though. I have purchased hitches for several cars through etrailer and they are typically under $150

I've seen those and they're very expensive, plus it wouldn't work for me since I'll be getting the convertible. I have looked at the trunk mounted bike carriers that uses like a half a dozen straps all over your trunk and bumper, and I would still be able to open and close the top with those, but there would be no way of securing the rack to your vehicle unlike a locking hitch pin which I currently use.

True, if someone doesn't make a cheaper hitch receiver, then I'm just going to go with a trunk mounted rack. I have already found the one I'm most likely going to purchase.

Has a slot for every passenger

I'd be willing to bet that Curt will be less that $150 through etrailer. I just sent them an email. We'll see....

This must have just come out. I have already been in contact with etrailer a few months back and one of the sales guys said Curt was coming out with something soon.
So I did a follow up email to him today saying its out and how much is etrailer price. Yes $389 is way too much...hope etrailer is cheaper.

(in the meantime taking front wheel off, seat off, pedals off and stuffing bike in through the trunk with seats folded down. It works but PIA.)

it works on Coupe, but on the Convertible you have no pass through so some sort of rack is the only option

Nah, you have no issues.

Step 1: put the top down
Step 2: take the front wheel off
Step 3: put a tarp/blanket over the back seat
Step 4: put bike in the back seat
Step 5: grin on down the highway, wind in the hair!

I went with the SeaSucker rack for my new ride. No added weight from tow hitch and no scratches on the car.

This is on my S197, My S550 is in order processing.

I've been holding out on an S550 because of the lack of a hitch available. I ride 10k miles a year and NEED a rack for my car. I go to races where i bring my time trial bike and another bike to warm up on so trunking it is out. Plus, my mountain bikes are big and a pita to take the wheels off of because of thru axles and a Lefty fork. The seasucker rack is nice but if your bike gets muddy it will drip all over the car. Trunk racks suck because they do damage the car's paint, no matter how careful you are.
I have a hitch on my 2012 and I ground off the chain hooks so you barely see it.

....and damn, 400 bucks? My Hidden Hitch was 100 bucks.

Yea, definitely going to get the car dirty after each ride, but I figured it'd be easier to clean some mud than try to repair missing paint. :D

Just don't forget the bike is on the roof when you pull into the garage or it will be a lot more to repair than missing paint :D I know a couple people that did this....

Another reason to get the bike behind the car is gas mileage, if you care about that. I still get about 25 highway when I have my bike with me. When I had a roof rack on my old Acura it cost about 4 or 5 mpg
