G2 caliper paint and Krylon fusion spray paint on the coil covers.
Clean really well with brake cleaner (for the calipers) and dawn dish soap for engine covers. Mask areas and paint or spray multiple thin coats (about 3-5), waiting 30-60 minutes between coats.
@T-S550-X I forgot to ask you about the spraying you did using the preval sprayer. How was the spray in terms of dispersion...was there a lot of mist floating around or did most go right where you aimed? How much additional masking did you do because of spraying?
I was thinking I would have to wrap most of the car in plastic if spraying, hence why I'm asking. If the spray is very directional and not misting/flying all over than it stands to reason that less covering would be needed.
@5.0_SD, We masked what we didn't want paint on within the fender well. I didn't mask the body. The gold paint had a quite a bit of flake so the paint pretty much went where it was painted. Sprayed roughly no more than 6"-8" from the object.
I can't speak for non-flake paint. It may spray farther than the gold I used. If in doubt then just get some trash bags and cover the body if your worried. You can always spray something else to test how it will come out. The preval sprayer is the preferred method according to G2.
