Has anyone had issuse on stock cars with a tune shifting too hard and getting scary loose at the track? Like crossing the center line and almost hitting your buddy running beside you? I know i am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to drag racing but between a stock auto 09, tuned manuel 13, and a stock auto 15, i have never had the rear just step out that bad. I will be emailing the tuner in a few to have the transmission put back to the stock transmission parameters.

yeah man with a custom tune the shifts are way harder and you were probably on street tires when the cars shifts that hard it spins on the 1/2 shift.

just email your tuner and have them back out some %pressure so as not to hard of a shift.

before my stall my shifts would do that. I was told ahead of time and expected it..... it was crazy hearing and feeling 3rd shift so hard. i asked many tuners before i talked to mine and they all said it was normal to have shifts that hard.

If i was on slicks the firmness of the shift wouldn't be a problem, but on street tires daily driving and on the track it is way too hard and gets the car sideways at will.

Yep, same issue here. (I even have a thread about it in transmission section).
Seems to be a LOT more evident when trans is cold, gets a little softer when fully warmed up.

im on a lund tune and it does chirp the tires on the 2-3 at 80mph. i keep T/C on all the time as my car loves to go left if the tires break traction. at the track on my slicks its a non-issue.

Yes! If you turn off the nannies the 1-2 is going to get scary on stock tires. I've even tried short shifting second with the paddles way early and same result.

Yeah. My third run at the track Saturday was scary as hell. Sent me across the center line. Even on a prepped track i couldn't keep traction.

I shouldn't have to lift off the gas in an automatic car.

better tires, fix suspension.

i dont lift at the track. on street tires i do have to pedal it.
