Shift light?

Has anyone installed an aftermarket shift light in their S550? I've seen some of the CAN shift lights, but is there something a little less expensive that will work? If so, how would you wire up the tach signal on our cars? I tried searching, but the search tool doesn't work well on a phone. Thanks in advance.

That's only on a premium. Mine is a base model.

I use the raxiom OBD multi gauge from AM and it works perfectly. It also shows my exact rpm readout. I can also switch it to any other gauge and it will flash when the set rpm limit is reached.

I went with a Speedhut programmable. I have a 6 speed (2011) but the light allows me to set it based on which gear I am in. Plugs into the OBD so wiring is a no brainer. Only downside is if you need the port for something else. I don't. It's small, portable (between cars) and bright (blue).

I bought it on sale for $120.

Hard to beat the Raptor shift lights.

I've looked at all 3 of those. Thought about the one from AM, but really want black. Leaning towards Speedhut.
