LE picture certificate

I did not. Ford either royally messed things up or someone stole it out of the car. No car cover or signed photo either. Ford Service told me all of this will be sent out later, but I will believe it whenI see it.

A lot of the dealers threw away the cover not knowing the owners would want it. Also, a lot of them threw away the picture too. It was in a white envelope in the glove box. If you opened it you would think it was empty, as the photo faced the outside of the envelope. Al it looked like was an empty white envelope. I know one owner who threw his away by mistake.

I have read that. My dealer had this thing on the showroom floor still wrapped in paltic, stickers on etc., and swears they didnto have the envelope or the cover.

All the 50ths were shipped in the cover. Dealer is lying.

The welcome kit comes later. It was not shipped with the car.

Right. My reply was to the guy asking if others did not receive a certificate that was supposed to be in an envelope in the glove box.

There were quite a few of us that didn't get the picture with the car at time of delivery. Ford Service (Racheal, at the time) asked us to send our names and addresses. After we complied with her instructions the pictures started showing up at our door steps. Shoot Ford Service a quick message and they should take care of you.

They emailed me the supposed remedy:

Mel,
The Car Cover and Photo are not included in the Welcome Package, this is something that is sent out separately. You should be receiving the Welcome Package very shortly. The Car Cover and Photo can take a couple months to receive if it was not available at the time you take possession of your new vehicle. This is what is sent out after a certain amount of vehicles have been sold.
I did check with my specialist and this is how the information is sent to our customers.

A replacement cover is nice, but is not the one the car was shipped in. Have the dealer compensate you for loss of value.

And how do you propose doing that? There's no way to judge that that will even be of any value. Won't happen and shouldn't happen. If it's the same cover, unused, it's worth more than the old ratty torn dirty one that came on it.

It's not like they're even useable at all. The only way to guarantee it's worth more because of the cover is to leave it on the car. Even then, it'll be years before it's worth appreciably more. 25 or so. 50 for max value.

Ford Service said they would send me a cover, but never did. Welcome kit included signed picture that was not with car on delivery.

I was missing my Autographed photo for my Wimbedon White car too. If anyone has an extra or is willing to part with one I am looking for one.

I have contacted the dealer and Ford Customer Service and have not had any luck trying to get a replacement.

Curious if you received the box comprising the "welcome kit" yet. As I mentioned above, I never received my signed pic UNTIL I received the welcome kit. Some said they had one in their glove compartment. I did not.

Frankly, this was a great idea Ford had that was poorly executed in terms of the details on the "certification and collectable authentication" stuff. I love the car and ultimately received everything EXCEPT the transport cover. There are lot's of threads on that subject, but some received them and others did not. They were numbered like the cars, and from the threads it appears that the numbered covers people received generally did not match the number car they had.
