I'd throw up if I did this. I know I am putting too much money into the car. But every time I drive it, I forget about all of it and am in love.

Pretty much done with the car for awhile. I did pretty much all these mods early on. Outside of FI I don't think most bolt-on mods are worth the $$ vs Performance return. I might do a few BMR upgrades later but the car pulls hard, and handles fine as is. I was pulling .95g's on the mountains this weekend with more room to push but wasn't trying to get too cocky.

Added up all last year's finances yesterday and for automotive stuff (half year was my WRX, other half the Mustang) and I spent just under 9k ($8,967). That didn't include gas, payments, or insurance. It made me realize how much money I pissed away on the Subaru so trying to avoid it on the Mustang.

I do this in an excel spreadsheet with a bunch of auto totaling columns like retail price, price paid, total saved over MSRP, sold price(when I sell the car and part out) and money lost after sale. I am a big list and numbers guy haha.
Yeah I did too.. I wish I could copy and paste it here.

So my real price paid on parts was 6200 and retail on those parts was 8800.

Most of my used parts were NIB. Only a few weren't.

Lots. With labor probably the price of original car. It's okay to keep in a budget or have concern but considering parts and labor costs for car stuff if you dwell on it you may need to find a different hobby. The most fun is stuff that doesn't work as advertised or expensive things that break. Grin and bear it.
