Would love to get these tips black if they're not too hard to take out. I haven't looked yet and just based on memory, I don't remember seeing how they come out. Anyone took them out yet and can comment on the difficulty and process?

Would love to see AKRA make some carbon fiber look tips for our steeds....

We would however be stopping at the bank to take out a loan to pay for them-

I have black tips on my MBRP setup if you want me to send you a pic. It's on a GT though. I wasn't sold on it but I got a great price on the exhaust, gently used. I've loved the look of it from day one though.

That sounds pretty nice. I'd really like to get my tips black from the valence but I'm just not sure how difficult it'd be to remove just the tips.

Yep. I may give it a shot Wednesday actually. I'm guessing Powdercoating is ok for tips right? Without having to worry about heating issues, melting the finish, etc? Might sound silly but just making sure.

I almost did this but want to order a spare set. I want to anodize mine black or black chrome. It is rather easy to remove the tips. hard to explain but you'll see once you take a look at it. Highly recommend taking the lower valance off.

The "fake tips" dont get that hot honestly. Theyre hot but you can touch them; since the exhaust pipes arent touching them.

They do unbolt from the valance, there are bolts below them on the bottom of the valance. The top ones up inside are tough to get to though, but very possible without taking anything off the car.

Try $7 can of black plastidip first just to see the look before committing. I actually like the tips chrome and I hate chrome generally. It makes the quads stand out.

They are stainless ??? If they are, and I believe they are, send them out for Black Oxide. Works great on stainless.
