Hello all,

I have Pypes exhaust which I recently realized is 1 3/4 which steps to 1 7/8. This goes to 3" exhaust no cats all the way out back to MBRP street mufflers. I don't know if thats worse than buying 1 7/8 headers?

I have a whipple pushing 21/22 PSI and seem to have hit a wall with making more power, and trying to find angles that will give me more power.

Looking to get in on the cam group buy. Other than switching to turbo trying to figure out what other options I have.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.

When I build I'm switching from ARH 1 7/8" to 2". Will also be adding cut outs. Hope it helps. I was also thinking with the cams and maybe springs you should be able to rev higher to try and hit that 1k.

I already have upgraded springs. (embarrassing I don't remember) but if I remember they are 80lb springs. Will double check.

I'm also debating on cutouts.

My issues isn't RPM. Issue is I'm peaking about 6krpm and flat lining. Not losing power, just holding it all the way to 8k.

While I'm still new to head work cams etc. sound like the air is going on faster than exiting. May need to work on getting the air out. Bigger runers, cut outs maybe head work. I'm not too far behind you and want to push the limits of the Whipple also, so thanks for starting these threads as I have pretty much the same questions haha.

Lol. I hear that. Like I've mentioned before "supposedly" the Whipple needs head work to pop 1k.

Did you ever dyno @ 17-18 psi on e85. That's what I'm at now and haven't had a chance to hit the track or dyno.

Lol! I've thrown all I got at this car. And keep throwing more. When it's paid off in a few years (750/mo payment) I'll have lots of mod money. For now have to try watch what I spend. Last thing I want is something to south with work and suddenly lose it all.
