I was just curious if anyone knows what the max weight you can have in the trunk and back seat is. If I needed to carry let's say 1500lbs of rocks and crystals back there would it be an issue?

Haha christ. I wouldn't even dream of dumping something like that in my trunk unless they were all in sterilite totes or some crap to keep it clean. But I have a feeling your statement was mostly sarcasm hahaha. I haven't ever really had a big reason to look into it, if I need to haul some stuff I spent what I'd have spent going the extra mile to get snow tires and a whole extra set of rims and just spent the cash on some used '03 4x4 Explorer. That is now both my winter whipping boy in the snow as well as a pack mule for hauling things. But there should be a sticker on the edge of the door when you open it with that and a few other pieces of info like your VIN, tire sizes, etc. I believe the weight the vehicle can carry is among the stuff printed on it.

And I'm pretty sure 1500 would kill the car and be a issue

600-700 lbs total, just look at your door tag. 2 large people can do this alone..

Hahaha. I swear you guys are the most helpful bunch on the internet.

So my plan was to go to a trade show and actually buy a ton of stuff to resell and I wanted to use my mustang because...well because it's more fun. But I suppose if the max weight is 700 that wouldn't be enough.

I'm pretty sure I've exceeded that weight on multiple times tho haha.

1500lbs? Lol that back end is gonna bend.
Trucks with body on frame like the dodge ram can only carry 1600lbs in the bed.

Not sure if there is any towing rated for these cars.
