Does anyone wonder what Ford does with the data that our cars collect?
My friend bought a Charger R/T and he has been getting emails every month with data about the car's fuel economy, miles driven, maintenance needs, etc. so obviously they (and if FCA does it, they all do it) collect the data, presumably through a cellular modem.

You know they're just sitting on a bank of data waiting to profit from it somehow or void your warranty.. Your transmission broke? "Well, it looks like you have many 0-60 runs under 5 seconds. "

A few years from now, you'll probably have the police waiting for you at your house with handcuffs when you get back from a high speed run on an empty stretch of road.

Youre probably right. I hate big brother watching everything, I wish I knew for sure on our cars.

Funny, my daily driver v6 infiniti cranks out a 5.5 all day long to 60. Id like to think my 5.0 would beat its ass.

MRGTX, I see youre also in CT, where abouts?

Is anyone heating up their tires before making these runs?

And the Demon's will be rolling 2.1 and standing 2.3.... :(

Ford should really move this to the sync display or create an app to export via logger.

Does anyone know what wheel speed sensors the timers use? I'm assuming they use the front wheel sensors and not the rear to eliminate false readings from tire spin.

4.2s on a cold morning in October, with my BMW 135is.

That car would rip 4.4s ~ 4.6s all day long. After a few months I stopped caring/metering and just drove the giggles. Which were many, cuz that car also had one of the best sounding exhausts, I have ever heard. So nimble too.

I am sure I did quicker in my Z06, but in 2001 I didn't have a g-meter.
