I know I know but would love to hear especially from guy that have experience with both. I love the GT but have gotten lucky in life recently and am considering the Z06. I will do an occasional track day as well as some straight line stuff but it will be a daily driver for both me and the wife. Thoughts?

No comparison. Totally different cars. I love Mustangs and I've never owned a Vette, but ya, if I had to chose one over the other, no brainer. Z06.

Wait for the '17 Z06, which apparently contains fixes. The car is absolutely amazing, if it works correctly. As of right now, apparently ~6000 have been sold and ~390 have blown up.

Just watch motor trends best drivers car 2015 and you'll see why. When the car isn't jumping into limp mode it's a beast and rivals almost all super cars. Problem is many people are having issues with it pulling power due to high Temps. Wait for the fix.

What about a GT350R?

The Z06 is a fast car for sure.

oh hell yea, i'd get the Z06, but the z06 is not a daily driver. Keep the GT for a daily driver though.

The z06 has potential to be a good track car. Guys have been dropping valves at track days and munching motors. That's what happens when you don't design a motor made for 650 hp/tq but instead just mod an existing motor never designed to work reliability at those levels.

z06 are almost $100k here at a local dealer. I don't keep up with corvette pricing but that sounds insane for a freaking chevy.

I would probably rather have gt350 or gt350r over it though. you just can't beat the value of a gt350 right now but my cousin has a c7 with red interior (auto though, siiigh) and they are badass though.

if I had the money I'd have a mustang gt, gt350 and or r, z06, and a ford gt lol.

ZO6 FTW, but as Todd15Fastback stated - the GT350R would be a great acquisition!

You must realize that you are going to have to pay the "Corvette Tax" of you get a C7. I learned this from owning a C6. Most anything that costs $250 on a Mustang, will cost $500 on a Vette. As it not being able to be a daily driver, My C6 was.

Although I wouldn't trade my GY in on a new one, I will wait for the used ones to start becomming available and buy it outright. Its common knowledge that Vette drivers take very good care of thier vehicles (for the most part).

Z06, but as others have stated wait till GM finds a resolve for their motors blowing. The new Z06 is a gorgeous car!
