Thanks for your question. The way I currently use the car (daily transportation), there is very little I would change, if anything. The only thing I have in mind is the exhaust to get a deeper tone and a slight volume increase. Even then, I do like the stock exhaust and the effect of the sound tube, so making a change really would be about increasing enjoyment. I have not removed the clutch spring. After about a week of using it, I adjusted to the feel and don't see a problem when just doing normal or spirited street driving.if you were ordering a new one tomorrow what if anything, would you change, colour, transmission, interior specs etc and what after market mods would you delete/change/add?
Optionwise, I find the 3.55 rear gear a good middle-of-the-road set-up, especially when used in combination with the driving modes. I definitely am glad I spent the money to get the Premium trim level, just for that alone.
I thought I'd miss having the Premiere interior trim, but given some of the troubles folks unfortunately have had with bubbling of the dash brows, I think it was a good trade-off. The saddle leather color combination which I absolutely love, was more important.
I thought I'd really miss having 19" wheels since I had them on my previous 2010. However, the optional 18" foundry wheels have made up for that. They are styled in such a way that makes them visually fill the wheel wells, they are easy to clean, and the tire expense is less. Also, the standard GT brakes really fill up the wheels, making them look quite strong. They stop fine for a daily driver. The standard Pirelli all-seasons have worked fine in my climate. I have driven them in wet and snow conditions with no issue, especially in combination with wet/snow mode.
Visually, there is nothing I would change. I am glad I have spoiler delete and the Premium trim rear bumper fascia set-up. I love seeing Magnetic when it's clean, but when it's dirty, it still looks passable. I do like select Roush body parts. However, I am not feeling compelled to make a change, since I am very satisfied with the stock appearance.
No need for me to change the stock ride height. It's lower than previous generation Mustangs, so I while I think some lowering still looks attractive, I don't feel compelled to do it.
Lastly, some of the other technology options (rain-sensing wipers, reverse back-up, Shaker Pro) are not missed. They are great, but I am good with what I have.
Sounds kind of boring, but this car is really, really good. It's quite a step-up from the previous generation in many ways. I had a period of time where I wanted to change the appearance (Roush spoiler, GT350 stripes) but I have calmed down a bit
In summary, I wouldn't really change a thing when it comes down to it. Let me know if you have further questions.
