Why Ford why.

I just thought back on past header installs, manual to auto trans swaps, and ground-up engine builds which made it relatively easy for me.

I dont get it. Its easy to get. Quarter inch ratchet with swivel head and deep well socket. :shrug:

LoL ... the Ford engineer put that long ass sound tube stud on the firewall to separate the real mechanics from the impostors. ;)

Exactly. Not sure why this seems like a big deal, pain in the ass, to so many people.

It is so easy to remove. Just pull up and twist. Took less than 5 seconds after the other side was disconnected. Why even bother with the bolt?

Everyone wanting to remove it should take this advice. So simple. No messing around and takes all of 5 seconds. Who cares about the residual bolt? You'll never see it way back there anyways.

When you removed it what did you use to cap the hole?

Plug the hole after tube removal...Unless you want some little friends to make entry to your Mustang and take up residence in your HVAC system. The joys of having dog food pieces fall from your dash and glove box every time you shut off the car and it cycles the blend doors.
