It has been mentioned in other threads that the Flat Rock plant where Mustangs are produced will be shutdown for two weeks to allow inventories to catch up. That probably pushes everything back accordingly.
This doesn't seem likely. Pushing model year launch back to almost second quarter of that model year is usually something that happens when the company is in panic mode (see diesel engine emissions issues).
I think most of us with first stock orders are now pushed back to late November for start of production. That would mean late December delivery. If I can't get mine by January, I will probably look into cancelling my order.
If you look at this website it still says they are scheduled to start the 2nd. And it was updated on 9/1.
Yeah I saw that, but we didn't get the news that Flat Rock was shutting down for a couple weeks till after that. Shame Ford is being so hush hush about everything.. :doh:
That info is likely out of date seeing how people's build dates are actively being pushed back over a month now.
Err, that means mine will probably be later than that...just received a call from my salesman and he talked to the ford rep. He said I should receive my car by mid-December
Mine is a retail priority code 10. I actually thought I'd receive my car later than that. I was surprised that he said that.
