We'll have to see but I tend to agree with Notes on this one. It's in Fords financial interst to minimize the number of differences between the domestic and export cars so I'm sure they have put at least some effort into improving on this.

As far as pricing goes with the current exchange rate EU cars are really quite a bit cheaper than US cars after you add import tax.

Time will tell but I hope Ford used this facelift as a way to put everything they have learned from exporting the Mustang world wide into one car.

After all the Americans keep complaining it looks too European :) so what's the point in making it look european when half the features get deactivated.

Actual statements from program manager Carl Widmann:

- Hood vents also on export models

- Functional tribar DRL in the export models!

- Line lock on the EcoBoost

Check out this interesting video:

He describes that they redesigned the headlamps with the export market regulations for distance between the DRL light source and the actual projector in mind.

So they do listen to us :)

That would confirm my idea that the decision to "going global" with the S550 was a last minute thing. They had to adapt the car to many different regulations and, with no time left, they simply removed all the stuff that wasn't ""legal"".

Nah we're not idiots. We're pioneers

Plus I'm keeping the 16 for sure. You can get all of those things with aftermarket mods no problem if you'd want to...

- There are plenty (and IMO prettier) hoods with vents on the aftermarket and it is perfectly possible to retrofit hood vents on our OEM hood too
- Linelock, burnout-button, ... what's in the name. Rubber shall burn :D
- And the Tri-bar DRL has been available as well thanks to some brave souls on here :hail:

No, we were the lucky ones that bought a beautifully designed muscle car, before they completely ruined the front end on the MY2018.

I wouldn't have bought a Mustang if it looked like that.

So now the US is stuck with dumbo mirrors as well ;)

Oh well, will sit thight and see what's coming... but most likely mod the crap out of my 15 when my budget allows it ;-)

hood vents, cool DRLs on export models and this stock . Too bad we could not get those. Na ja it is always the same thing with the product that comes after the previous one, more/better features. Let's see what the 2020 looks like.

No, not at all.

"Early adopters" such as yourself have solidified Ford's decision to sell the Mustang worldwide. No car is perfect and, especially when building an all new version, so compromises would have had to be made. Yes, it comes down to $$ saved, but they wouldn't have had an open budget.

Well, I hope they listened to us about the red tail lights, too
