Hey Burkey,
Mines not a daily driver, so basically similar grip but better wet weather traction, not the on / off switch like the Pzero's. I am not a track driver and I am not hard on my car in general. I guess I am looking for the good all rounder, summer and winter that you can feel confident with when driving normal including spirited driving when the mood takes you.

You're probably best off discussing this with a tyre dealer who isn't gonna push you into a certain tyre "cos that what he sells" type thing.
There's plenty of options if you stick to the stock sizes, whether they're any good or not, I have no idea.
I actually don't mind the Pzero but I don't drive in the rain all that often.
Cold mornings are fun, I'll give them that. :D

Have you considered Nitto Invo's ? Nitto are quite popular in the states. I have Nitto's on my new 20s that are going on this week.

What sizes did you end up with Marto?

Stylish Wheels in Slacks Creek imported them for me.
I can't remember offhand the exact prices, but they were so much cheaper than what I was quoted for the Michelins elsewhere.

I went with 255/35/20 on the fronts and 295/25/20 for the rears.

I will let you know for sure, keen to know myself.

I can't wait. Getting the wheels put on tomorrow and getting it lowered at the same time on Eibach springs.

I'm not allowed to show pics of the wheels yet as they are the first of their kind, but when I pick it up tomorrow night I'll post em up!

Is that a typo on the rear? If not that's a fair difference in diameter front to rear. Won't be an issue with traction control seeing that much difference in speed?

I've had Nito invos on my gt for the last week and love them.
I've got Velgens and front are 275 35 20 and rears are 295 35 20.
Done 1000ks and mostly in the rain. They have been fantastic.
You can get them locally. Check with Tempe tyres,Ozzie tyres or ST George tyres. All in Sydney but deliver overnight to major cities.

Cheers

I posted pics in the other thread last night (http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44889&page=139). But in regards to the tyres, they seem pretty good so far. At first they were incredibly slippery, just nudging the throttle and you could feel them wanting to slide. Though the roads were greasy from light rain and I believe the fresh coating on the tyres didn't help the cause. Happy with them at the moment, will see how they go in the long run. Very unusual tread pattern in them that's for sure.

Seems that I'll be using 275/35/20 & 295/35/20 Continental MP5's
The speed and load ratings are correct, treadwear is acceptable and at $1600 fitted and balanced makes them somewhat cheaper than the MPSS or Pzero's
At those sizes, the fronts will be 2.2% large than factory, rears 1.4%
It's not perfect, but it IS a workable solution for the time being.

Tyres arrived at last!
$1600 fitted and balanced as previously mentioned.
If anyone's in the market for a good quality tyre at a good price, I can send a copy of the invoice for price matching purposes...(I virtually robbed the store to get them at this price)
